I’m not sure how, but after dinner at Veloce, we found room to go with about half of our group out to Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, a favorite dessert spot for two of our friends and their kids. 

As we waited in line and made decisions about what to order, I fell in love with the décor.  The place had so much charm!

A team of hardworking summer employees took our orders and got our custard out as quickly as possible.

Not being particularly hungry, I went with a basic cup of chocolate frozen custard with reese’s pieces.  It was thick and creamy and delicious.

Our friends recommended the Concretes which are very thick shakes (like a Blizzard at Dairy Queen) and the Husband went for one himself.  As you can tell by his goofy smile, he loved it!

Nielsens’s was delish and a fun dessert treat.  The atmosphere is fun for the whole family and the staff is friendly and quick.  A definite must, especially on a warm summer night!
