This weekend, the Husband had some friends in town to celebrate (?) March Madness, so when he got back from Atlanta, we made plans to meet up with them for lunch. One of them had never been to Las Vegas before and since I’d only ever driven past downtown & Fremont Street, we decided to head up that way for lunch at Main Street Station casino.
Microbreweries seem to be few and far between here so we get excited when we get to try one. We headed to Triple 7.
We’re not sure what we were expecting for the décor and ambiance but we were impressed when we walked in. It was open and airy (vaulted ceilings) and you could see the brewing process behind glass throughout the restaurant. For sports fans, there were sufficient tvs around with the basketball games playing.
After being seated, we perused the menu, but I wanted to find the beer first and found it all on the back page.
The descriptions sounded decent so the Husband and I each got a sampler. Prices for the beer are pretty good, in my opinion – $6.50 for a sampler or $3.50/$3.95 for 16 or 23 ounces.
Our samplers included the High Roller Gold, Marker Pale Ale, Royal Red, Blackchip Porter, and their current brewmaster special – an Irish Stout. I enjoyed each (except the pale ale, but that’s because I’m not a pale ale fan). The Blackchip Porter was my favorite with the High Roller Gold coming in second. ![]()
Our lunch was much later than I expected so since I’d gotten my cranky pants on from hunger, the Husband ordered garlic fries which came with a salsa-ranch dip. They hit the spot!
For lunch, I was craving pizza and went with the Wild Mushroom Pizza. It was much larger than I expected and was super cheesy. While not the best pizza in the world, it was good bar food (and good as leftovers).
The Husband ordered the Chicken Tender Platter which came with three or four giant chicken tenders, fries, and coleslaw. While they didn’t look like they would be that great, once we bit into them, we found very juicy, tender white meat chicken. The poor Husband thought that he was putting his leftover chicken tender on my plate to pack up with my leftover pizza and I interpreted it as him sharing with me
When he looked back, I’d eaten his last chicken tender!
Our friends ordered burgers and both were happy with what they ordered. The service was decent and we enjoyed our food and drink. While not a place to go out of your way for for the food, if you’re on the Strip or near downtown, and looking for some microbrews and pub food, this place is good and the prices are reasonable (especially for Vegas).

1. “Fremont”, not “Freemont”.
2. What is meant by “this place is good and the prices are reasonable (especially for Vegas)”? Are you suggesting that Vegas is not known for good food or for reasonably priced food? My experience is the exact opposite.
Thanks for catching the typo (fixed now)! As for your second question, my emphasis is on the reasonably priced food. I completely agree that the food in Vegas is awesome, but I always warn people coming to visit, that at least on the Strip, food costs a bit of money in comparison with the rest of the country. (As you can see from the blog, we’ve dined quite a bit around the country.)
