Have you seen our recaps of the other two days and our last morning at Disneyland? If not, check them out here: Day 1 & Day 2 & last morning
After meandering in both parks snapping photos along the way, we decided to enjoy lunch in Downtown Disney prior to hitting the road back to Vegas. After thinking through our options, we both decided we wanted to try Naples Ristorante E Pizzeria.
On a Sunday around lunch time, it was about a 30 minute wait for two which wasn’t bad. We were given the option to sit inside or outside on their large patio, but with the slight chill in the air, we decided to wait for an indoor table.
The restaurant had a nice, open feel to it and I enjoyed that you could watch pizzas being made near the entrance (obviously in the kitchen behind glass).
For lunch, the Husband and I saw many things that looked good so we decided to split two things. First, though we had a Caesar salad.
For our entrees, I chose a pasta while the Husband chose a pizza. Our pasta was the Penne Con Pollo (recommended by our waitress). It was penne (of course) tossed with grilled chicken, parmesan, cream, and marinara sauce. Simple and flavorful.
The Husband selected the Prosciutto Pizza. It was a margherita pizza with prosciutto, arugula, and diced tomatoes.
Overall, we enjoyed the food and our waitress was sweet. Service was a bit slow, though. While it was a crowded Sunday lunch time, I would imagine they should be used to that – they ARE located at Downtown Disney. We enjoyed the experience either way. A note for those of you with kids – at least during our meal, they had a girl making balloon animals for the kids. We think they were free but everyone was clearly tipping her. The kids seemed to love it, but I’m sure the staff gets tired of dodging giant dogs and Mickey ears.
