While I was in Charlotte last week, I heard some crummy news. My favorite restaurant in Charlotte, Sir Edmund Halley’s, closed permanently. The owner isn’t saying much about the reason for closing, aside to say it’s financial, but it all seems largely irrelevant. Charlotte has lost a quaint little restaurant, with fabulously unique cuisine, tucked underneath Park Road Shopping Center.
Bummer, indeed.
The word on the street is that they’ll still be open for drinks until all the booze is sold.
Good-bye Sir Edmund Halley’s.
