Brunch at The Flying Biscuit

I love when we have friends visiting! We go to some of our favorite restaurants :-) On Sunday morning, before our friends headed on the road back to DC, we decided to get brunch at one of our favorite breakfast places: The Flying Biscuit.  I don’t think we’ve been since my siblings and their spouses came to visit, so I was excited to get back there.

As I feared, it was super crowded when we showed up (it’s quite popular here in Charlotte!).  It had been raining on and off all morning so they had umbrellas set out for those waiting to stand under.  At first, this caused none of the patio seating to be available.  However, when the rain stopped, they got out their towels and dried them off!

Cute logo on the door :-)

I ordered something that I ordered in the past and LOVED – the Hollywood Omlette.  It contained egg whites, spinach, mushrooms (I think), and white cheddar and was covered in tomato sauce.  SO. GOOD.  As with all brunch options, it came with a biscuit and I choose the Creamy Dreamy Grits as my side.  They are true to their name :-)

The Husband ordered one of their daily specials – sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of Creamy Dreamy Grits.  He enjoyed them as well :-)

Can’t wait till the next time we visit!
