During my trip to DC last month, I clearly ate out a lot. So, I was excited to pass this place one day: Chop’t – a “creative salad company.” It was like Subway but all for a salad!

At this point in my blogging career, I wasn’t comfortable yet in taking pictures of them making the salad (I was also the only one in line). However, when you walk in, you choose what type of lettuce you want then all the toppings. A certain number of toppings are included and extra or more expensive ones (like chicken and avocado cost more). Then they pour it out and chop it all up in front of you.

The result? A HUGE salad! Definitely at least two meals worth…

Be careful because the price can add up quickly! My salad was approximately $12 – quite a bit of money for a fast food salad. But it was fresh and tasted good. All salads come with a flatbread which was awesome! You can choose to get a wrap instead – salad inside of the flatbread, and I highly recommend it. It’s also quite huge, so perhaps go with a friend and share.

We have a salad place on campus like this. It’s about a once a month treat… expensive but completely delicious!
